I came in with a box of papers I had been putting off sorting for years. By the end of the session, everything had a label and a place in the folder, and I actually understood what most of them were for. The printed organiser has been sitting on my desk ever since — it has already come in handy twice.

The information sessions were very useful. I had always found the language in pension statements confusing, and Wichai explained things very patiently. The glossary sheet has been particularly helpful — I refer back to it whenever I receive something new from the social security office. I would have liked a little more time on the third session, but overall it was exactly what I needed.

We did the family programme and it was worth every baht. My wife and I both attended most sessions, and the briefing sheet they prepared for our children is something we would not have known how to put together ourselves. Everything is clearly labelled now and our son, who lives in Bangkok, has a copy of the summary so he knows where things are.

I appreciated that they were upfront about what they do and do not do. When I asked a question that required a financial planner's answer, they told me clearly and gave me the right direction to follow. That kind of honesty builds trust. The organising visit itself was helpful — I was dreading it, but it took less time than I thought and the person running the session was very calm and reassuring.

My wife and I had quite a few documents that neither of us fully understood — several years of provident fund statements and some property paperwork. The sessions helped us understand the categories and what each type of document does. It would have been useful to have a slightly more detailed session on the provident fund side specifically, but for an educational overview it was genuinely useful.

I chose the family programme because I wanted my children to be able to find things without having to ask me. The briefing sheet is written clearly enough that my daughter, who is not particularly familiar with any of this, said she could follow it without any questions. That was exactly what I was hoping for.

In More Detail

How the process worked for three households

The Situation

A retired teacher in Hat Yai had a large collection of records from four different employers over a 30-year career, plus personal insurance papers and land certificates — none of it organised. She was approaching the point of needing to engage the social security office but felt unprepared.

What Anchora Did

Carried out a Calm Start Organising Visit, working through the full document set over two and a half hours. Each item was labelled and grouped into a logical folder structure. Documents that appeared incomplete or potentially superseded were flagged separately with a note about where to follow up.

The Result

An organised folder with every document labelled and in sequence. Three items identified for follow-up with specific official bodies. She reported feeling significantly more confident about her upcoming appointment at the social security office.

"I felt ready to go in and have a sensible conversation, rather than turning up with a box and hoping for the best."

The Situation

A couple in their early sixties, both about to retire, had been receiving provident fund statements for years but neither of them fully understood what the statements showed or how the process of drawing on the fund worked. They wanted to understand the basics before meeting a financial planner.

What Anchora Did

Delivered two Everyday-Terms Information Sessions focused on provident fund statements and the typical process for making enquiries. Explained what each section of a standard statement shows and which bodies manage different aspects of the process. Printed notes and a glossary were provided at the end.

The Result

Both were able to read their statements independently and had a clearer sense of the questions they wanted to raise with their financial planner. The session notes have been kept for reference.

"We came out knowing what we did not know before — and knowing the right questions to ask."

The Situation

A widower in his late sixties had adult children living in different cities who were concerned that if something happened to him, they would not know where to find his documents or what they contained. He wanted to put a clear record in place before any uncertainty arose.

What Anchora Did

Ran the Family Records & Briefing Programme over four sessions across three weeks. Organised the full document set, created a home filing layout, and produced a written summary that his daughter and son could each keep a copy of. One child joined one of the sessions remotely by phone.

The Result

A fully organised household record with a clear written summary in plain language. Both children confirmed they understood the document set and knew where to find everything. The briefing sheet was formatted to be easy to follow without any background knowledge.

"My daughter read it and said it was the most useful two pages she had received all year."
